  1. 原指奉命到處奔走，以至於精疲力盡。現多指忙於奔走應付而搞得非常疲憊；也指事務繁忙，難於應付。例 「前邊來了一個辛勞飢渴、疲於奔命的年輕人」、「每天為官場應酬而疲於奔命」。
